J24 North Americans in Halifax – Day 1

Bruschetta, Bruschetta, Bruschetta! That’s all you have to say. Three bullets in 15 knots of wind. Can’t really say that it’s a shocker. I’m still waiting for the results to be posted online but it looks like Healy, Welles and Parker are leading respectively. Mauricio Santa Cruz has been kind enough to tell me that he is using the Technora MatriX Genoa and a Formulon 75 kite. Looks like the sailmaker war is back on. This is good for the class as the 3DL from North Sails, as much as I love it, and I really really love it, is expensive if you are doing the regatta circuit.
