Here’s a fun video we did while preparing our boat for next week’s regatta. Lovely sunset at Nepean Sailing Club. I’ve attached a couple of nice pics as well.
Beautiful sunset while cleaning our J24 sailboat
I just updated the photo page. Pretty nice stuff from last year.
We are pulling the boat out tomorrow for it’s regular cleaning (every couple of weeks) and to make sure the keel is still attached to the boat 🙂 Other than doing some fiberglass work and re-rigging the boat with the new Gottifredi Maffioli Dyneema® fibre lines, the boat just needs a good scrubbing. It has given me the time to read some great books as a way to prepare for our busy season. Our first one design regatta is coming up in two weekends from now at our home club http://nsc.ca/web2/nod/ with 10 J/24 boats on the line. This should be a good preparation for the Canadian J/24 Championships at PCYC near Toronto http://j24canadians2011.wordpress.com/ where we are expecting 30 boats. A bit of a bummer is the fact that we won’t be able to participate in the North Americans http://j24northamericans2011.wordpress.com/ in Halifax. Why is it a bummer? Well, I just learned that the last two world champions, Tim Healy and Mauricio Santa Cruz are expected to participate.

Yesterday, this blog reached a milestone with over 3000 views. This blog is relatively young and I hope to bring more interactivity with new marketing and advertising relationships. Stay tuned!
Cause Luongo is definitely deflated… ouch. I guess it’s almost as bad as the America’s Cup AC45 capsize of the week.
